Heavy Duty Breakaway Connectors These Products Are Designed To Protect Polyethylene Ducting From Overload During Installation By Directional Drilling And Are Used Between The Pullback Swivel And The Duct Puller. The Connectors Are A Three Part Product, Held Together By A Group Of Pins. The Pins Are Designed To Break In Tension At A Specific Load. The Assembly Of The Connector Is Completed By Using One Or More Of The Breakaway Pins. The Sum Of The Values Of The Pins Is The Value At Which The Connector Will Come Apart. If A Single 1,000 Lb Pin Is Used, The Connector Will Come Apart At 1,000 Lb. If Three Pins Of The Same Value Were Used, The Connector Would Come Apart At 3,000 Lb. Different Pin Values Can Be Mixed And Matched To Create A Number Of Different Values, All In The Same Connector. Metric Pins Are Also Available.
