TII 126 (M ) B1 One-Pair Station Protector with Adapter Bell and REA spec
DESCRIPTION TII TFS module is also special in its internal construction. The TII 126 TFS Station Protector Module consists of two Heavy Duty 2-Electrode TII gas tubes, a fail short mechanism in case of a power cross condition, a backup airgap, an epoxy filled shell with two #10 wiring studs and a ground strap. The encapsulation of the internal components of the module safeguards against contamination and corrosion of the protection elements, a feature not found in screw-in type station protectors. The Heavy Duty TII gas tube provides an extra level of protectors. The Heavy Duty TII gas tube provides an extra level of protection in both life and current handling capacity beyond that of most 2-Electrode tubes in common usage today.
The TII 2-Electrode gas tube is constructed of selected metal alloy and ceramic materials to insure many years of dependable service. The 2-Electrode gas tube provides low maintenance cost without the problems normally associated with carbon airgap devices. The sealed atmosphere in the gas tube assures fast and consistent responses with a stable breakdown voltage, After the surge has ended, self-restoration is quick and uniformly predictable.
The TII 126 2- Electrode Protector Module may be employed in a variety of single and multiple pair protector assemblies. When mounted in TII station protector or network interface device enclosures, the assembly is UL listed in the Signal Circuit Protector category. The TII 126 Protector Module is also UL listed as a stand-alone one or two-pair indoor station protector when it is mounted on a TII B1 Mounting Adapter. The TII 126 module may also UL listed in other manufacturers’ NID enclosures.
